Picking and packing
Picking and packing means we handle the picking, packing, and dispatch of your store’s customer orders. Your products are stored on shelves in our fulfillment center, where we pick, pack, and label them — ensuring they are shipped with the correct carrier at the right time.
We pack and ship all customer orders the same day, with the following considerations:
- Carrier pickup timing: If a carrier collects from us at 12:00, an order placed at 11:30 is unlikely to make it onto that day’s shipment. However, that same order will likely be included in the 16:00 carrier pickup instead.
- Surge in orders: In the event of an unexpected spike in order volume (for example, during a sales campaign), we do our best to reallocate staff to picking and packing accordingly.
- Public holidays and peak periods: During Estonian holidays or high-demand periods like Black Week, we pick and pack as quickly as possible to stay on top of demand.
We do not follow a strict FIFO (First In, First Out) principle. Instead, we prioritize orders based on carrier pickup schedules. For example, if one carrier picks up at 12:00 and another at 16:00, we first complete all orders scheduled for the 12:00 pickup before starting on those for 16:00. This method ensures that all orders leave the warehouse the same day.
If we are unable to fulfill an order for any reason, we have fast-response processes in place to inform the store owner about the issue and what is needed to proceed. This is handled by your dedicated Key Account Manager (KAM), and no other processes are delayed because one order cannot be fulfilled.
